It’s going to be an exciting Fall for Canmore, as an exciting new addition to the town is scheduled to finish construction. Elevation Place is a 77,000 ft community hub that will house all sorts of attractions, such as a pool, climbing centre, library and multipurpose community spaces.

Designed with a look that reflects Canmore’s natural beauty, this new building will be a great new space for use by locals and tourists alike. The opportunity to house both attractions and community events is very exciting.

The plan currently is for the project to be completed in November, with “a soft opening in December and then a start of programming in January 2013” according to town communications coordinator Sally Caudill.

It’s very exciting to imagine the many ways that Elevation Place will be used once it’s open, but we’re sure it will quickly become a vital part of Canmore.
