Feb 1-18 – Canmore Winter Carnival
Celebrate the cold in Canmore during the town’s fourth annual Winter Carnival. This nearly 3-week long event will host a Kid’s Art Exhibition, an ice carving competition, a lantern parade, Kid ‘n’ Mutt Races and many more. Attendees will be able to experience some of winter’s biggest traditions such as curling on a pond or skating and enjoy maple syrup snow taffy and hot chocolate. The carnival will commence with a Family Fun Day at the Canmore Recreation Centre on February 18th, 2013. Feb 14-16 – Alberta 55+ Games
Cheer on competitors at Alberta’s premier multi-sports events for those 55+. Alberta athletes will compete in many different sports and Canmore is the selected location for the Nordic Ski portion. Feb 16th – RUBBERBANDance
Banff will host Montreal-based dance group, RUBBERBANDance, known for their unique style and fusion of contemporary ballet and urban dance.
