Getting Here

Welcome to the Windtower Lodge & Suites. Nestled in the Canadian Rockies, we are situated in Canmore, which is considered Canada’s mountain playground. The Windtower Lodge & Suites is located approximately 115 km from Calgary and 18km from the Banff National Park.

From Calgary International Airport – Approximately 1hrs 40min
- Take Barlow Trail NE N (turn left onto Barlow Trail)
- Turn left at Country Hills Blvd NE
- Stay on and follow Country Hills Blvd for approx 10km
- Merge onto ramp at Stoney Trail South
- Stay on and follow Stoney Trail South for approx 9km
- Merge onto ramp at Highway 1 west Banff (sign says; 16 Avenue N/Banff)
- Follow Trans Canada Highway for 86km
- Take exit 1A (next exit after Three Sisters Parkway)
- Follow 1A exit ramp around the loop; take a right at the end of ramp onto Bow Valley Trail
- Follow Bow Valley Trail W (go under overpass) to traffic circle
- Take first right in traffic circle onto Montane Road
- Follow Montane Rd to end of the street
- Windtower Lodge & Suites located at the end of Montane Rd.

From Calgary - Approximately 1hr 15min
- Follow Trans Canada Highway (or Highway 1 - same highway) to Canmore (86km)
- Take exit 1A (next exit after Three Sisters Parkway)
- Follow 1A exit ramp around the loop; take a right at the end of ramp onto Bow Valley Trail
- Follow Bow Valley Trail W (go under overpass) to traffic circle
- Take first right in traffic circle onto Montane Road
- Follow Montane Rd to end of the street
- Windtower Lodge & Suites located at the end of Montane Rd.
 

Heading to Banff? - Approximately 15 minutes
- Leave the Windtower Lodge & Suites and follow Kananaskis Way to end of the street.
- Turn right onto Bow Valley Trail
- Keep on Bow Valley Trail for 3.5km (Go past Tim Hortons)
- Take second exit on your right heading to Banff
- Merge onto Highway heading west and follow for 20km
- Take Banff Ave/Lake Minnewanka Scenic Dr.
- Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp
- You are now on Banff Ave- follow this road to the town centre
